Alfa Romeo has made recent headlines with its remarkable one-of-one coachbuilt Giulia SWB Zagato (and the chance to own its actual 2023 F1 show car), but according to its CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato, there’s a lot to get excited about on the horizon. Chief among those is the news that the 2025 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio will be unlike anything the automaker has ever created, boasting no less than 1,000bhp of electrified power as a super-saloon ready to rip up the track.

In an interview with Top Gear, Imparato promises the new all-electric Gulia will have a “connection with the past without jeopardising the future,” as a vehicle that all car lovers can fall for. While the electrification of the brand will take a couple of years to complete, the focus will remain on performance for the top end of the line, with Imparato confirming the entry point will start, “at 350bhp. The Veloce is 800bhp. The Quadrifoglio is 1,000bhp.”

All of this development is made possible thanks to the yet-to-be-released Stellantis Group STLA Large platform, which will ensure a range of more than 800kms between charges and capacity for 800V ultra-rapid charging. While some motoring enthusiasts are sad to see the gradual rise of the EV, with the likes of Lamborghini and Bugatti both recently announcing their final performance combustion engines, Alfa Romeo will also be taking careful steps to ensure that as it becomes more EV-focused cars such as the 2025 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio won’t lose, “the right handling and agility.”
