BWM isn’t messing around in 2023 and hot on the heels of the Lamborghini Urus competitor, the BMW XM, the German automaker has announced its most powerful EV ever. Say hello to the premium BMW  i7 M70 xDrive that doesn’t just look fantastic, but also delivers an adrenaline-spiking amount of power at your feet and an interior dripping with luxurious details.

From the get-go, the dual-motor powertrain delivers 485kW of power and 1,100Nm of torque (a 25% jump from the previous generation) which translates to a very healthy 3.7-second sprint time, while the top speed has been electronically limited to 250km/h. A reasonable move by BMW there. All this power comes from its 106kWh  battery pack that isn’t just here for a good time, but a long time too with a claimed range of 560kms.

Entry to this electrified new four-door arrives in the form of what BMW is calling the “BMW Digital Key Plus” smartphone digital key, which automatically unlocks the doors as you approach the car and will lock them again as you walk away. Inside, the BMW  i7 M70 xDrive arrives standard with the BMW iDrive infotainment system 8.5, specifically the Connoisseur Lounge Package.

Just like the recently announced XM, the BMW  i7 M70 xDrive doesn’t come cheap by any stretch of the imagination and arrives with an RRP of $344,900 before on-roads. But with all that power, it’s certainly a tempting proposition.
