The last ever motorcycle purchased by the late, great Elvis Presley, a 1976 Harley-Davidson FLH 1200 Electra Glide, is set to break records at auction later this month. The King barely rode the impressive two-wheeler, clocking up just 202km before he sold it to a local Harley dealership less than a year later.
The immaculately preserved Harley includes a number of custom features, with Presley choosing a black and blue two-tone paint job, stitched leather seat and chrome accents. Incredibly, the bike is still registered in Presley’s name and has been on show at the Murdo South Dakota Pioneer Auto Museum for over 30 years.
GWS Auctions believe the motorcycle is worth around AU$3 million, and if it sells for that price, will eclipse the AU$1.3 million paid for a Vincent Black Lightning, making it the most valuable road bike in the world.
If you’re after something with a couple more wheels, however, two of Presley’s cars are also up for auction. There’s the last limo he ever purchased, a 1973 Lincoln Continental with all-white leather interior, and a fully restored Circle G Ranch 1967 GMC Pickup Truck with a slick green paint job.
All three vehicles go under the hammer August 31 and you can find out more information about each item at gwsauctions.com.
