The Hennessey Goliath 700 has just been unveiled to the world – a “robust” upgrade to the GMC Sierra truck that makes it “wickedly fast” with the power and acceleration of a “typical muscle car.”
According to John Hennessey – Founder & President of Hennessey Performance – here’s the basic idea behind it:
“A serious truck should have serious power and the Goliath 700 delivers on this mantra. We’re offering a complete turnkey power package with a warranty that delivers an exciting driving experience both on and off-road.”
Hennessey Performance has added a 2.9 litre supercharger to original 6.2 litre V8, effectively boosting the truck’s power output from 420 horsepower to an incredible 700 horsepower. This means the new and improved iteration of the GMC Sierra can clock 0-60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. No small feat considering the size and weight of this puppy.
As for everything else, Hennessey’s entry-level upgrade of the GMC Sierra also includes the following:
- High-Flow Intercooling System
- High-Flow Air Induction System
- Custom HPE Camshaft
- Chromemoly Hardened Pushrods
- Crankcase Ventilation System
- Engine Management Calibration (accomplished in-house)
- Chassis Dyno Testing
- Hennessey Embroidered Headrests
- Hennessey Exterior Badging
- Goliath 700 Exterior Badging
- and Supercharged Badging
Those who opt for the additional Stage-1 Off-Road package will get to enjoy an extra six inches of lift, LED lights in the front bumper, custom Hennessey Performance Engineering Wheels, as well as a complete set of high-traction Toyo tyres.
