It’s been about 9 months since we first laid eyes on the 2020 Land Rover Defender, and, just like a surprised bloke who found out he was going to be a father, we’ve finally come to terms with what’s about to happen in a very short while.
You can likely expect a global reveal of the new Defender next quarter, but those after a little sneak preview can look to LEGO’s Technic 42110 Land Rover Defender, a 2,573-piece kit that looks suspiciously like the camouflaged 2020 facelift, not the classic Series 3 Land Rover we all know and love.
Silodrome.com pointed out the likeness between the two, of which you can decide for yourself below.
Clocking in at a decent 42 cm in length, 22 cm in height, and 20 cm wide when assembled, this LEGO model Defender is hardly child’s play. The kit appears to come with a full faux alloy wheel set, hefty fender flares front and back, a fully-equipped roof rack, a working winch, and functioning steering.
While observing that this is indeed just a LEGO model, its rather attractive design could silence the apprehensions of the few who are hesitant to accept the teased 2020 Defender facelift.
The Technic 42110 Land Rover Defender is designed for adults and more advanced LEGO users aged 11 and up. Stay tuned for more on the Defender when it’s finally revealed to the world.
