As far as barn finds go, a retro Ferrari and Lamborghini doubleheader in your grandmother’s shed is about as good as it gets.
That’s exactly what happened to Reddit user eriegin who describes how his family came to find this neglected Ferrari 308 and Lamborghini Countach 500S in their back garage.
My late grandpa bought it for his exotic car rental business in 1989, but after insurance costs became too high for him to operate the company, he kept the car (and many others including the Ferrari 308 in front of the Lambo) outside/in leaky garages for 20+ years instead of selling them. Don’t ask me why, I have no clue.
The 1981 Lamborghini Countach 500S was of particular surprise to viewers of his post, as it is one of only 321 ever built. Considering a Series II Countach LP400 just sold at Monterey Car Week for $500,000 USD, it’s probably not a bad excuse for this fella to clean out the shed.
