As part of Istanbul’s Teknofest, Red Bull have hosted what is quite possibly the most comprehensive drag race of all-time at the city’s newly built airport.
The line up included a Challenger 605 private jet right down to a Kawasaki Ninja H2R Superbike. In between were the likes of an F16 fighter jet, a selection of supercars (including the new Aston Martin Vantage and a specced our Tesla P100D) alongside a Red Bull Racing Formula 1 car.
The bike was victorious in lightning quick fashion clocking in at 9.43 seconds to the quarter-mile marker, a close 0.04 seconds ahead of the F1 car and followed eagerly by the F16. Kenan Sofuoğlu, the rider at the helm of the superbike, has only just recently retired from motorcycle racing after 15 years and five world championship wins.
