The motorcycles of the future will be exciting to ride if Real Motors’ Project: ARES is any indication. This week, the US-based company unveiled its groundbreaking all-electric sports bike, which blends the best of science fiction futurism with the robust design language of classic motorbikes.
According to Real Motors, Project: ARES is poised to captivate a new generation of riders by drawing inspiration from the iconic cafe racers of the 1960s that dominated London’s scene. Despite only having a prototype at this stage, it tips the scales at around 220 kilos and draws power from an 11kWh battery.

This battery reportedly translates to an impressive range of around 160 kilometres, a top speed of around 150 km/h, and a 0-100 sprint time of less than four seconds. The bike’s design features minimalist lines, a deep side fairing, and an oversized front fork adorned with a striking graphic motif that complements its sleek, white-painted body.
Project: ARES attempts to offer the perfect bike for both American cruising culture and European commuting use cases with a comfortable and efficient design. Production is set to commence late next year; the components, battery, and body are to be manufactured in China and assembled in the United States.
While the waitlist to register your interest in owning a Real Motors Project: ARES is currently closed, expect to pay around US$20,000 (AU$30,500) when regular production arrives.
