The base range BMW R1250 is, by all accounts, a great bike. It’s a classy, refined, and searing top-end BMW that’s calm and easy to manage. But if you’re looking to rip the throttle open as far as it goes, a couple of crazy Estonian gents at Renard Speed Shop have reimagined the classic BMW R1250 R motorbike to really get your heart racing.
The new generation BMW 1250cc boxer is an ideal platform for a custom motorcycle build. Originally designed for a dynamic appearance, the R1250 R contains its iconic twin-cylinder boxer engine with a maximum torque of 105 lb-ft. Here, that engine is concealed with Renard’s body panel akin to an aeroplane fuselage.
Renard’s initial concept was to create an eye-catching and unique city cruiser on that very platform. These body panels and the fuel tank are handcrafted from aluminium, whilst the front grille and triple tree are made from solid aluminium blocks by CNC milling. The front suspension covers and lattice are 3D printed, giving them a refined but technical look.

The optic-white shell is interrupted infrequently, keeping the overall profile of the vehicle incredibly sleek. The front sees a stacked set of circular headlights, while the rear features a bobber-style floating seat with a single integrated taillight, creating a final lightweight impression.
This luxurious city cruiser features a reworked engine that delivers more power than ever before. The variable camshaft control BMW ShiftCam is an innovative technology, offering optimum performance in every engine speed range.
Jonich Wheels from Italy is responsible for the handicraft of the wheels on this build and the Akrapovic titanium mufflers originally belong to a Ducati Panigale Superleggera. It was critical that the typical punch of the Boxer engine that BMW drivers are well acquainted with was maintained here. The BMW R1250 R motorbike has frankly never looked cleaner, thanks to Renard and his team.
