Solidifying their position as the world’s preeminent sports car manufacturer, Ferrari have unveiled their latest creation, the P80/C. A custom vehicle that’s been in development since 2015 for an unknown buyer, the car takes influence from a variety of classic Ferrari designs.
Created as a pure track car the P80/C was designed by Flavio Manzoni, Ferrari’s Senior Vice President Of Design, in conjunction with Ferrari’s engineering and aerodynamics teams, and has been labelled a ‘Hero Car’ by the famed manufacturer.
The P80/C’s chassis comes from the race-spec Ferrari 488 GT3 with the rest of the design taking cues from iconic Ferrari’s such as the 330 P3/P4, 1966 Dino 206S and 250 LM. The impressive automobile features a wedge-shaped front, large rear spoiler, central cockpit with a race harness and steering wheel along and a tinted wrap-around front windscreen.
While official specs haven’t been released, it’s believed the P80/C will be powered by a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, providing more than 700 horsepower with a top speed of around 340km/h, which is, to put it mildly, fucking wild.
It’s not clear how much the anonymous client paid for this automotive masterpiece but we’re sure it’s eye-watering.
