JLR has delivered a few top-specced goodies to see out the current generation’s twilight years. The crème de la crème being this Range Rover SVR Carbon Edition.
Featuring a shit-load of – you guessed it – carbon trimmings till the cows come home, it’s the exposed centre section of the bonnet that steals the show. Customers also get to enjoy some 22-inch gloss black forged allow wheels and subtle carbon inlays in the interior to really make this the Rangie to end all Rangies.
The Range Rover SVR Carbon Edition will be all cosmetic, it’s worth noting, with its stock 5.0-litre supercharged V8 remaining untouched. But this is nothing to be upset about, as its 429kW and 700Nm of torque is well and truly capable of laying down some egregious power and rupturing your eardrums simultaneously, as we found out at the global launch two years ago.
Currently, the SVR Carbon Edition is priced from US$131,350 Stateside, with no confirmations of its local arrival date or price just yet. Stay tuned.
Now, if stock Range Rovers aren’t your cup of tea, check out Overfinch’s batshit insane re-work of the SVR here.
