Wrestling insider and host of WWE podcast Barnburner’s Fired Up, Joe Peisich, has noted that wrestler-turned-actor Dwane ‘The Rock’ Johnson is set to return to WWE.
It’s reported that The Rock is very close to signing a deal with the organisation to make an appearance in the 1,000th episode of WWE SmackDown.
The Undertaker, another wrestling star, has already been confirmed for the event which has spurred fans and commentators alike to quickly assume it’ll be a legends match between the two. The last time Johnson stepped into the ring was in 2016 for the WrestleMania 32 pay-per-view event.
