  • American Express is releasing a batch of 2025 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix tickets.
  • Accessible for all current cardholders, the Amex Reserved Ticket Sale commences on Tuesday, December 17th at 2 PM (AEDT).
  • This represents a key pillar of the multi-year sponsorship deal Formula 1 and American Express confirmed back in October.

In the wake of its new (and expanded) partnership with Formula 1, American Express has announced a reserved allocation of tickets and experiences at the 2025 Australian Grand Prix — which is set to return as the season opener from March 13th to 16th at Melbourne’s Albert Park.

For those of you who weren’t quick enough on the draw the first time around, the Amex Reserved Ticket Sale commences on Tuesday, December 17th at 2 PM (AEDT); and will include passes to The Lounge hospitality suite, the new American Express Grandstand at Turn 4, as well as Park Pass General Admission.

The only requirement for access is to be a current Amex cardholder. But the perks don’t end there.

As an official Formula 1 partner, American Express is also offering cardholders access to exclusive benefits across the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit during the four-day race week — the details of which will be revealed over the coming weeks.

“We love nothing more than giving our Card Members access to special events and creating unforgettable moments,” said Naysla Edwards, American Express Vice President of Brand, Customer Marketing, & Member Experience.

“The Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix is one of the country’s biggest sporting events and we are thrilled to provide our Card Members the opportunity to get close to the action and enhance their race day experience.”

Emma Pinwill, Australian Grand Prix Corporation Chief Commercial Officer, added: “We are thrilled to partner with American Express, a brand known for its commitment to excellence.”

“This collaboration represents a significant step forward in enhancing the experiences and offerings at the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix and we’re excited to welcome Amex Card Members to the circuit in 2025, which is set to be another record-breaking event.”

Aside from being restored as the debut race of the Formula 1 race calendar, the 2025 Australian Grand Prix promises to be a blockbuster affair: one where we’ll receive a first glimpse of seven-time world champion Sir Lewis Hamilton, dressed in red, and competing for the legendary Scuderia Ferrari — a historic occasion in any F1 fan’s book.

Hamilton will showcase just how competitive the Prancing Horse’s engineering has become against the likes of reigning four-time grid king Max Verstappen, who looks to exceed what his predecessor Sebastian Vettel achieved with Red Bull Racing; as well as likely title challengers Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) and Lando Norris (McLaren Racing).

The other noteworthy attraction involves the Aussie presence on the circuit: Alpine rookie Jack Doohan, son of the accomplished Mick Doohan, alongside McLaren’s prodigy and Melbourne native Oscar Piastri.

Suffice it to say, this won’t be a weekend you’ll want to miss.

Don’t have an American Express card? The Amex Platinum Card is now offering a massive 150,000 bonus points — claim it for yourself here and gain access to next week’s Reserved Ticket Sale.
