While the on-track action might have been a weekend to forget for Aston Martin F1 team at Albert Park this past weekend (we’ll leave the chat about Sebastien Vettel’s DNF and Lance Stroll closing the door on Nicholas Latifi here), there was plenty to write home about thanks to Peroni.
After practice on Friday it was an evening of glamour and sprezzatura at local Italian establishment, Di Stasio Citta, with yours truly from BH – Jack & John – head to toe in black tie attire along with a suite of VIP guests, including supermodel Shanina Shaik and the likes of Dan Macpherson, Tom Derrickx and David Wenham. A classically Peroni affair.
Elsewhere in Melbourne, local favourite The Commons Collective transformed their outdoor space into an immersive all-Italian bar where ice cold Peroni Libera 0.0% and a specialty aperitivo menu was served. Patrons were also been able to preview a replica Aston Martin 2021 Formula 1 that was flown especially from Silverstone for this event, presented in the centre of the courtyard.
Come Saturday, guests of the Peroni suite at the end of Turn 1 were treated to a chat with Aston Martin’s team ambassador and James Bond stunt driver, Jessica Hawkins. The 27-year-old British racing driver is one of the most accomplished in women’s motorsport and recently showcased her skills in Craig’s final outing, No Time To Die.
Big thanks to Peroni and United Places for the first-class hospitality as always. For the rest of Boss Hunting’s Aus GP in just 7 seconds, watch the video below and catch our wrap up in this week’s episode of BH’s Friday Sharpeners podcast.
