- After a sell-out debut in 2024, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey is returning to the Melbourne Grand Prix to offer complimentary “Jack’s Rides” in a McLaren.
- This year, you can expect double the number of drives – complete with on-board headsets as well as a complimentary Jack Daniel’s cocktail.
- The expanded edition of this race weekend activation will also entail “Jack’s Garage”: a thematically appropriate transformation of iconic beachside venue The Espy, St Kilda.
To celebrate its continued partnership with the McLaren Formula 1 Racing Team, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey is once again shouting high-octane, front-seat rides during the 2025 Melbourne Grand Prix weekend.
Whether you’re getting amongst it at Albert Park or simply getting out and about in town, “Jack’s Rides” will be available from 12 PM to 10 PM each day – starting on Friday, March 14th and wrapping up come race day (Sunday, March 16th).
How does one book this too-good-to-miss opportunity?
Essentially, you and a mate can call in a supercar chariot simply by heading to the designated venues: either The Espy in St Kilda or Crown Melbourne in Southbank. You’ll be picked up in pairs and assigned a separate car each, but fear not – given these road rigs have been kitted out with onboard headsets, communication with your fellow passenger/teammate won’t be a problem in the slightest.
Bonus: each ride also entails a free Jack Daniel’s cocktail at the “finish line.”

In 2025, the thrills don’t stop when the McLaren pulls up to the curb. Because Jack Daniel’s is also launching a dedicated race HQ dubbed “Jack’s Garage.”
Hosted at The Espy – and running from Thursday, March 13th to Sunday, March 16th – expect a “party pit stop” serving signature whiskey cocktails and packed with authentic McLaren memorabilia: driver suits, a stunning replica F1 car, and so forth.
The Espy’s Gershwin Room is also wrangling a lineup of live music featuring the beloved likes of alt-rock heroes Rum Jungle, country sensation Brad Cox, US soul powerhouses Durand Jones & The Indications, as well as local legend, Nina Las Vegas.
“At Jack Daniel’s, we live for moments that bring people together over great whiskey and unforgettable experiences,” said Ashleigh Wheeler, Brand Manager of Jack Daniel’s Australia.
“With the return of Jack’s Rides and the launch of Jack’s Garage, we’re taking race weekend to the next level – bringing fans closer to the thrill of the track, the energy of the McLaren team and, of course, the spirit of Jack Daniel’s.”
