Just because your Dad bought your first set of golf clubs doesn’t mean you want to dress link him out on the links, but despite this intergenerational enthusiasm, most golfing drip looks like it was designed in a retirement village. adidas has come to the rescue with their latest pair of shoes in the limited edition Samba OG Golf Kicks, fusing the best of old and new in a heritage-inspired silhouette that looks the part.
The precursor to this latest release was the adidas Golf‘s Samba Endless Summer pack, which was launched last month in pastel tones that spanned from blue and yellow, to pink and beige. In something of an unexpected coming together, the design team at adidas took the classic Samba silhouette that was originally designed as a soccer shoe and reimagined it for the golf course to great effect.
While the bright pastels of the first versions were designed to, “allow people to showcase their personality,” according to the global footwear director of adidas Golf, Masun Denison, the brand is now offering the shoes in a slightly more sober colourway of two-tone light brown on white. If the colours weren’t for you, but you loved the adidas vision of Samba’s on the golf course, then these will be the ones for you.

Featuring white leather uppers, only interrupted by the iconic trio of black stripes, the Adidas Samba OG Golf shoes also have light brown suede toe overlays that serve to soften the contrast between the crisp white uppers and gum-tone out sole. If you flip the shoes over, you also see the outsole has a reworked tread pattern for the best possible grip out on the course, as well as a trio of rotatable golf spikes to work with your swing.
While adidas is yet to announce specifics around the release date and RRP, it’s anticipated that these fresh Adidas Samba OG Golf shoes will hit shelves around mid-November. If you’re keen to cop, make sure you keep an eye open.
