Steph Curry may be one of the greatest shooter in NBA history, but not even the Baby-Faced Assassin can make five consecutive full court shots without a little help from the editing suite.
The viral clip originally posted by Sports Illustrated has obviously been making the rounds on social media. Not too long after it had been forward by virtually every man and his dog, however, the Golden State Warriors themselves confirmed it was fake.

“Nobody believes I made five in a row from 90 feet?” Steph Curry said with a grin during the post-match press conference of the Warriors’ 112-104 loss to the Indiana Pacers.
“I’ll let them be the judge of that but it’s an ultimate compliment to probably be amazed by it but not think it’s outlandish that it could be real.”
“But we had some fun with it. The Sports Illustrated team coming with some heat.”
“I did make two of them, though. Just in case anybody was wondering.”
Chef Curry added in reference to his signature pre-game warmup ritual: “I used them all then. I didn’t make any tonight.”

“[He’s] the greatest to ever shoot it,” teammate Klay Thompson told reporters.
Incidentally, on the same day this video of Steph Curry making five consecutive full courts shots hit the internet, he experienced his worst game of the season, finishing with 12 points on 3/17 shooting from the field and a dismal 2/10 from the three-point range.
At the time of this writing, Steph Curry is averaging 30 points, 6.6 rebounds, 7 assists, and a field goal percentage of 49.9% for the 2022-23 season (via ESPN).
