With the excitement of World Cup qualifiers in the air, lets take a look back at some memorable moments of soccer history.
Back in 1998, Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima was in his peak. Feared and respected by fellow players, the famed striker demonstrated formidable skills and the ability to really bring about some misery to the opposing side. Every goal against the net was just another coffin in the nail. Impressively, he accumulated an unbelievable 62 goals over the course of 98 games for Brazil, winning World Cups in both 1994 and 2002.
In the video below, we see French defenders Marcel Desailly, Frank LeBouef, and Lilian Thuram, discuss possible tactics and strategy to best Ronaldo, along with sharing their own personal experiences running up against the Brazilian.
