Each and every month in the Boss Hunting office we’re lucky enough to sample, find, taste, and curate some of the coolest stuff the world has to offer. From sports socks and the Samsung AirDresser to noise-cancelling headphones and incredible wine bars, these are Boss Hunting’s favourite things for October 2020.

UnderArmour HeatGear No Show Socks
Possibly the most random thing I’ve ever included on a Favourite Things list, these socks put every sport sock I’ve ever owned to shame. They’re comfortable, durable, moisture resistant, and are dry about ten minutes after being taken out of the wash. I now own about ten pairs and cannot live without them. – Jack
MAISON de SABRÉ Pocket Bifold Wallet
I’m the butt of many jokes at the BH office. One of them used to include having a fat boomer-style wallet. That was until I decided to step up my carry game thanks to the kind folks over at MAISON de SABRÉ (who were generous enough to send me one). Modern, premium, slim, stylish, and even personalised – I’ve never looked back. – Garry
Samsung AirDresser
I’ll admit, when we first got the Samsung AirDresser in the office I was sceptical, but I find myself using it more and more each week. Last week, I spilt a drink on my shorts about an hour before a meeting, so I chucked them in the AirDresser for half an hour and they were as good as new. It’s a great device for refreshing clothes before needing to wash or dry clean them. I’m sold. – Jack
Ballers
I started HBO’s spiritual successor to Entourage some time ago but only began watching it in earnest this past month. Centred on the fast-paced world of professional NFL players, their agents, and their financial manager, it stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as Spencer Strasmore – a retired NFL player turned money man to current players – and rising superstar John David Washington – one of the NFL’s hottest talents and loosest cannons. As I’ve already alluded to… if you liked Entourage, there’s a strong chance you’ll love Ballers. – Garry
Sony WH-1000XM4 Noise-Cancelling Headphones
For me, the Sony WH-1000XM4 Headphones are one of the few big tech releases in 2020 that actually lived up to the hype. I’ve been using them every single day since they were released earlier this year, and the way they play around with active-noise cancelling never ceases to impress. If I want to let noise in so I can hear my surroundings I can simply just start talking and the headphones adjust accordingly, or if I want no disruptions, the cans do an exceptional job at blocking out all levels. The sound is finely detailed and perfectly balanced too, improving substantially on the XM3 – which were my favourite headphones of 2018. – Chris
Pacifico Optical ‘Buckler’ Sunglasses In Amalfi Blue
I once owned a pair of Pacifico Optical’s ‘Buckler’ sunnies a few years back, but like all my favourite shades, it didn’t take long for them to be lost to a big night out. This month, however, I copped one of the first pairs of the Bondi brand’s new colourway, ‘Amalfi Blue’, which has been turning heads and inspiring comments of curiosity from mates and strangers alike. If you’re looking for some new sunglasses exclusively for summer, these are the specs for you. – John
Bar Rochford
Last month I visited Canberra’s Bar Rochford for the second time and despite the hindrances of COVID, it somehow impressed me more than my first visit. The combination of space, service, booze, food and general vibes has cemented it as not just my favourite diner in Canberra but one of my favourites in Australia. The Burrata with Blood Orange and Pistachio made my heart melt and the smoked Duck was perhaps the best I’ve ever tasted, washed down with a sensational glass of Gamay from Raphael Beysang and Emelie Hurtubise. A session at Bar Rochford is worth the drive to Canberra alone. – James
