Hot off its recent collaborations with the likes of adidas and Porsche, German luggage label RIMOWA has just announced a fresh partnership with the London-based PALACE skate brand, which goes beyond the suitcase offerings we’ve come to know and love. In addition to the Cabin Desert suitcase, the RIMOWA x PALACE collab also includes the Skateboard Deck Infinity and a deck of stickers to customise both the suitcase and board.
Offering the best of a blend of RIMOWA’s century of expertise in building bulletproof luggage and PALACE’s contemporary take on streetwear and skate culture, the collaboration is instantly recognisable thanks to the dystopic desert landscape artwork found on the hardy aluminium exterior. Rich in colour and detail, the airbrushed-style print was designed by PALACE and applied by RIMOWA, while the monogram chain patterned skateboard is created from 7-ply Canadian Maple wood and boasts a clean white upper surface.
The Cabin Desert suitcase was manufactured at RIMOWA’s facility in Cologne and will be produced in an extremely limited run of just 500 units, arriving with TSA-approved locks and the hard-wearing construction RIMOWA is famous for. The RIMOWA x PALACE suitcase, skateboard and stickers will be available from the RIMOWA online store, set to drop on the 10th of February at 10 pm AEDT.
