  • As newly crowned creative director of Ray-Ban, A$AP Rocky has unveiled his Blacked Out Collection of unisex sunglasses in all its gilded glory.
  • Taking the brand’s three most popular silhouettes and imbuing them with his own distinct attitude, the capsule encompasses the Mega Wayfarer, Mega Clubmaster, and Mega Balorama.
  • As creative director, A$AP Rocky’s involvement will extend beyond eyewear alone, and into the realm of campaigns, as well as redesigning Ray-Ban stores.

Heralding himself as Ray-Ban’s inaugural creative director, rapper turned fashion multihyphenate A$AP Rocky (real name: Rakim Mayers) has breathed fresh life into the famed eyewear brand with his Blacked Out Collection.

This collab reimagines three of the most popular Ray-Ban silhouettes with ultra-black lenses, gold-plated detailing, as well as a custom tattoo-style AWGE logo on the temple tips (AWGE being Rocky’s own creative agency and record label).

The Mega Wayfarer takes Ray-Ban’s most iconic (and perhaps most beloved) product, and gives the 80s fixture some modern edge. Specifically with the wide temple tips. The Mega Clubmaster follows suit with gold hardware on the bridge and bottom halves of the acetate frame for its own 21st-century refresh; while the Mega Balorama oozes with Y2K-inspired speed dealer charm.

“I’ve always admired Ray-Ban’s ability to stay true to its roots while constantly evolving. I’m excited to be part of the strong heritage and develop the next chapter for an iconic brand like Ray-Ban,” said A$AP Rocky in a prepared statement.

Each pair of sunglasses from the A$AP Rocky x Ray-Ban Blacked Out Collection for SS2025 come with special-edition “$1,000 bill packaging” (also of Rocky’s design), alongside the brand’s signature black case and cleaning cloth. Each pair of sunglasses will set you back $348 domestically.
