A Dior pop-up store has opened its door in Sydney today. Showcasing the summer 2020 men’s collection brought to you by Artistic Director Kim Jones, those looking to upgrade their aesthetic won’t need to look any further.

But true to their ethos, this entire endeavour isn’t just about the purchase of clothing — as Dior has opted to kick things up a notch by creating an entire experience that’s high-concept through and through with a space that has been designed in consistency with Dior’s summer 2020 men’s show.

Seeking to capture “traces of a bygone era or clues about a distant horizon”, Jones explores the philosophical notions of relics and constant evolution. This has been accomplished in collaboration with American multidisciplinary artist, Daniel Arsham, whose work similarly examines “the archaeology of the present.”

As for the clothing, Kim Jones has also collaborated with Arsham for a dynamic and creative exchange. Having delved into Dior’s archives, they project a vision of an imagined future, “transforming the pieces into precious relics of a far-off era,” and prematurely aging new items.

Standing by Dior’s historically proven formula, this collection will be a showcase of truly excellent savoir-faire in cut, tailoring, and craftsmanship.

The Dior Sydney pop-up opens today, January 17th, right through to March 31st of this year. Head on over to 67 Castlereagh St, Sydney NSW 2000.
