Affordable watch specialists, Orient, recently launched their latest diver, the Orient Kano and she’s a looker. The Japanese manufacturer is considered to be one of the most respected brands in the sub $1000 category and the new Kano collection continues their handsome value-packed offering.

The vintage-inspired Orient Kano (“Water God”) arrives in a 44mm case and features a mixture of polished and matte finishes to complement a variety of dial finishes for each colourway, with a light sunburst on the blue, gloss on the black/black, and matte on the black/red.

Offered on a silicone strap or bracelet with solid links, the Kano is powered by the same F6922 mechanical movement as the brand’s more expensive Kamasu model which offers 40 hours of power reserve and hacking seconds.

Currently, the Orient Kano is available in four combinations of three colourways – black, blue and black/bed with the black and blue available on a bracelet and the black and black/red on silicone.

Rounding out the divers simple yet refined aesthetic is a rather compelling price with the silicone offered at US$235 and the bracelet at US$255, converting to roughly A$327 and A$355 respectively.
