Any serious fashion nerd, based on the east coast of Australia, is sure to have heard the names “P Johnson” and/or “Haulier”. Both rooted in the lifestyle and louche energy of Sydney, these two critically revered Australian fashion brands have been in one another’s creative orbit for some time now.
Helmed by designers who are known for their winking, uniquely Antipodean perspective on sportswear and tailoring (Jeremy Hershan and the eponymous Pat Johnson), the two are now solidifying this mutual connection with the ultimate sample sale — primed to start next Thursday, at Sydney’s Verona Gallery.
With a declared focus on “past collections, archival pieces and one-off samples”, it’s a good bet that there will be something for all but the pickiest of fashion lovers. Especially noteworthy is the inclusion of P Johnson Femme and Haulier womenswear in this sale: fun, as they say, for the whole family.

On the Haulier side, this sample sale presents a rare opportunity to cop the brand’s signature ‘Utility Tote’ in a range of now-discontinued iterations. Meanwhile, based on imagery available to press at the time of writing, a range of seasonal fabrications will be up for grabs from P Johnson: including the brand’s shirting, sweats, accessories, and — most crucially — tailoring.
Time to put your alterationist on speed dial, it seems…
