Rodd & Gunn has amassed a legion of fans enamoured with its clean-cut everyday staples, which possess a grab-and-go quality that’s hard to pass up when you’re on the way out the door. This week, the New Zealand-based clothing label has announced its Rodd & Gunn x Gilbert Rugby collection which adds a dash of sporty flair to its well-loved range, celebrating the beautiful game of rugby and its centuries-old legacy.
The collection is wide-ranging in its scope, including a number of winter essentials such as jackets, cotton-blend knitwear and relaxed hoodies, as well as more trans-seasonal trousers, polo shirts and sweatshirts. To mark the new Rodd & Gunn x Gilbert Rugby line-up, the two brands have also created a bespoke logo that’s present on the Lansdowne Road Sweater, a highlight from the collection that earns its name from the famed Irish rugby stadium.
Understandably, Rodd & Gunn CEO Mike Beagley is enthusiastic about the debut collection from the partnership, stating, “we’ve kept this collection true to our brand, keeping in mind the rich heritage and sporting nature of Gilbert ensuring it appeals to rugby enthusiasts on and off the field.” Richard Gray, the CEO of Gilbert Rugby, is equally proud of the collaboration, linking the two brands with a, “shared passion for quality, performance and style makes this collaboration a perfect fit.”
The Rodd & Gunn x Gilbert Rugby collection is currently available from all Rodd & Gunn stores (including the recently opened flagship in Brisbane), as well as at selected David Jones outlets.
