Cult footwear designer Salahe Bembury recently announced a new collaboration with Crocs — a completely strapless mule-like number, codenamed the ‘Saru.’
This marks the fourth original collaboration between Crocs and Bembury; following closely after the runaway commercial successes of the Pollex Slide and Pollex Clog.
Constructed using what Crocs spokespeople have referred to as a “hybrid design,” the Saru looks like it could very well have emerged from the sweaty fever dreams of HR Giger.

The familiar, perforated uppers of the Crocs Classic Clog are imagined here with a unique twist: connected to a midsole and outsole that has been moulded with Bembury’s signature ‘fingerprint’ motif.
Currently, Crocs has confirmed that the Saru will launch in two colourways: a vibrant burnt orange, and a more understated tan (the latter of which is pictured below). Since Bembury took to Instagram to break the news of this latest collaboration, there has been little in the way of official release info.
Based on previous intel, we’d guess that these will be launching sometime in early March — if not earlier. Pricing to be confirmed.
