You may not know him by name, but Sean Wotherspoon is the man behind some pretty hyped releases over the last couple of years. Originally starting as one of the curators of reseller store Round Two, Wotherspoon moved into designing special drops for major brands like Nike. His much talked about Air Max 97/1 was in high demand, establishing his signature colourful touches and fascination with different textures.

Teaming up with Japanese sneaker boutique atmos, the reseller turned designer has now transformed a classic ASICS silhouette with a new interpretation of the upcoming GEL-Lyte III. Offered up in two iterations – a light version with blue/orange tones and dark version with purple/green tones – the bright retro feel and corduroy touches are very much aligned with previous releases from Sean Wotherspoon.

The release also has a unique velcro patch in the shoe’s mid-section alongside a variety of ASICS strike logos and patches that can be easily attached, providing an additional level of customisation.

There’s also a competition going down until March 21st to win a pair, so head to the Round Two Instagram page to find out how. There’s no release date as of yet but they’re due out sometime in 2020.
