- Lionel Messi has ventured into the fragrance world with Messi Eau de Parfum.
- His debut scent is being sustainably produced by DSM-Firmenich.
- Messi Eau de Parfum is available to purchase for $75 domestically via Chemist Warehouse.
It was no secret that Lionel Messi would take advantage of almost every commercial opportunity presented to him once he moved to the US; supplementing a comparatively paltry player salary at Inter Miami FC, à la club owner David Beckham, and his own defection to the MLS back in the day.
So far, it’s led the eight-time Ballon d’Or recipient, FIFA World Cup champion, and reigning GOAT of football everywhere from a Super Bowl LVIII ad spot for Michelob Ultra to a tongue-in-cheek promo for Bad Boys: Ride or Die (of all films).

Now, the 37-year-old Argentinian legend has launched his debut fragrance: Messi Eau de Parfrum.
Inspired by “the man who is more than just a football icon,” the scent promises to be an olfactory journey that also evokes both the “hidden strengths” and “quiet confidence” that resides within us all.
In terms of what that tangibly means for the nose, according to DSM-Firmenich Principal Perfumer Frank Voelkl, it (generically) embodies an intersection between “freshness” and “warmth” thanks to a diverse selection of globally sourced ingredients.
“I have always been passionate about fragrance, and I am extremely excited to produce my very own signature scent,” Messi said in a statement.

Word to the wise: the bottle alone is available for just $75 over at Chemist Warehouse.
