It’s officially YEEZY Season. After more than a year of delays, Kanye West has finally dropped his tenth studio album Donda (amid some controversy). But while all eyes are on the rapper’s musical exploits, Kanye’s clothing and footwear line continues to build momentum, with the announcement of the new Adidas YEEZY Slide Glow Green colourway.
The Glow Green colourway is a more vibrant tone than the Bone or Core slide colourways, which align more closely with the neutral palette that much of the YEEZY clothing collection has become synonymous with over the last few years. Instead, its bright colours can be seen as an extension of the almost fluorescent orange colourway that has also proven to be a brightly coloured bestseller.
The moulded EVA foam slides are simple in their construction, with a softly rounded silhouette contrasting cleverly with the sharply toothed outsoles. The sandals are almost entirely unbranded, apart from a modest three-stripe Adidas logo appearing at the rear of the footbed.

In Q2 of this year, the Lyst Index – which ranks the world’s hottest products by using Google search, social media, and shopper behaviour data – found the Adidas YEEZY Slide to take the number one spot for the quarter. It isn’t a terribly surprising outcome that Kanye’s slides were found to be so hot, what with the Northern Hemisphere’s summer and hype building around Kanye as he held several listening events for his album.
With a new colourway that finds a nice middle ground between the more muted alternatives and the bright orange, the timing is perfect with the Australian Summer just around the corner. Plus, they’re basically a Splice for the feet, so warm-weather fans should rejoice.
Currently, there is no official word from Adidas on release dates for the Yeezy Slide Glow Green. They are, however, believed to be dropping as early as the first week of September.
