Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 1906
Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance have worked together on a number of different collaborative silhouettes over the last couple of years (as well as ALD announcing its own line of mules) from 550s to 996s, but the latest collection of partnership colourways uses the sporty 1906 as their template. Available in your pick of red, blue or green, the ALD x NB 1906s are pared-back and technical, perfect for those dabbling on the gorpcore fringes.
adidas x Thames Gazelle Indoor
In a collaboration that moves beyond a straightforward new colourway or co-branding exercise, the adidas x Thames Gazelle Indoor feels like an entirely new shoe thanks to its tough ripstop nylon upper and eye-catching TPU overlays. With black and white upper sections dominating the visual impact, a touch of British racing green has been added in the form of the iconic three stripes, in a perfect nod to adidas’ London-founded collaborator.
Nike x Tiger Woods ’13
Well-regarded as one of the best golf shoes ever made, this year the Tiger Woods ’13 is celebrating its 10th anniversary and the team at Nike has marked the occasion with a reissue of the famous links shoe. Featuring a flexible synthetic upper (executed in black) and six Softspikes for unparalleled grip when the greens are dewey, this rerelease isn’t cheap but it’ll make you look as good as Tiger does out on course.
Todd Snyder x Vans Dirty Martini
Serial collaborator with some of the biggest brands in the world, New York-based Todd Snyder is back with another banger in the form of this Dirty Martini-inspired Vans link-up. Boasting a high-contrast white midsole and dark olive green vegetable-tanned suede uppers, the pimento garnish-inspired lace caps are the perfect detail to complete these everyday classics.
Nike Air Foamposite One NRG “Galaxy”
Nike is giving sneakerheads exactly what they want with the announcement that the Nike Air Foamposite One NRG “Galaxy” will be rereleased later this year, after making waves when it was first launched back in 2012. As one of the most desirable silhouettes from the brand in the last decade, you’ll have to be quick to beat the resellers at their own game.
Y-3 Stan Smith 20th Anniversary
Set to arrive with the upcoming Fall/Winter 2023 collection from Yohji Yamamoto’s Y-3, this new collaboration with the classic Stan Smith range takes things back to basics, featuring a smooth white leather upper contrasted by a black leather tongue. If you’re sick of seeing Common Projects everywhere and want a premium alternative that’ll still turn heads, mark your calendar now.
