For once in your life, you might happily step on some LEGOs with the LEGO x adidas ZX-8000 collaboration, built designed by the one and only Sean Wotherspoon. While it certainly won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, for those who take a liking to these limited-edition pairs of kicks, the LEGO x adidas ZX-8000 are bold and distinctive – ideal for all the fashion-forward operators out there.

The sneaker quite obviously references LEGO blocks in its design, from the lace lock to the heel. But just in case the players behind this collaboration weren’t painfully clear enough, it also sports the colourway of a building block assortment, as well as a branded tag which reads “LEGO” on the lip.

Although it isn’t clear whether this will be the case for general purchase, early images of the LEGO X adidas ZX-8000 have depicted the shoes being packaged in a very special box constructed from – you guessed it – LEGO blocks, accompanied by a mini LEGO figurine of designer Sean Wotherspoon himself and a Porsche for some reason. Inside, there’s a message that reads:

“In 1984, adidas changed the world of footwear forever with the ZX series. Now in 2020, adidas originals and the LEGO Group come together as part of the relaunched A-ZX series. L is for LEGO* play. You’re never too old to play.”

The LEGO x adidas collaboration will release on September 25th for US$130.
