  • New Balance goes full neon with latest 725 sneaker drop
  • Marks a significant change for the once subdued silhouette
  • US$110 (~$160) at Sneaker Palace & Premium Goods

New Balance’s 725 has long been a staple in the Dad section of your local sneaker store. However, the team at NB has decided to revamp this classic with the 725v1 ‘Neon Nights Pack’ release.

As the name suggests, the ‘Neon Nights Pack’ showcases the 725v1 in a completely different (neon) light. This new iteration features a vibrant palette that spans the spectrum, set against a black base.

Royal blue, pinkish purple, mint green, and orange accents bring a fresh, dynamic look to the shoe, while the classic rippled mesh on the upper nods to the OG 725 runner.

The meteoric rise of New Balance has been extensively documented over the past decade, but this release still managed to surprise us. The iconic American brand has truly outdone itself with the 725v1 ‘Neon Nights Pack,’ which might just be their best drop of 2024.

In previous years, New Balance has opted to reinvent star silhouettes, like the 1906 or the 1000. This year, they’ve turned their attention to the 725, and “Neon Nights” is a bold statement that blends nostalgia with contemporary design, making it a standout addition to the brand’s lineup.

While there’s no word on an official Australian release of the New Balance 725v1 “Neon Nights,” you can pick up a pair online at selected retailers and resale sites. Given the buzz surrounding this release, we’d suggest getting in quick.
