Swiss watch workshop and modifier Artisans de Genève has teamed up with Brazilian Formula 1 driver Rubens Barrichello for a bespoke rose gold Rolex Daytona with a 4130 movement inspired by the world of motorsport.
This Swiss creation is a limited edition timepiece with a skeletal dial that reveals the inner workings of the original watch, with the strap and watch face encased in solid 18k Everose gold with a matching gold rotor. A black ceramic bezel contrasts this gold to add a dark touch of class to the latest piece from these aftermarket wizards.
Barrichello was heavily involved in the customisation ensuring every unique detail, including the caseback imprinted with Barrichello’s name, was approved by the man himself. The gold and black tones of the watch reflect Barrichello’s favourite colours and the optional black rubber strap is entirely handmade.
The Le Barrichello Gold is priced at around US$77,500 (AU$112,800) and expressions of interest can now be submitted via artisansdegenève.com.
