  • Between The Lugs Watch Fair is the newest event for watch lovers.
  • The full day of programming includes an independent watchmakers exhibition & photography classes with internationally renowned watch photographer HM Uhren.
  • It takes place in Sydney this weekend (Saturday, August 17th). Tickets are currently available from $32.80.

As much as the internet has brought everything closer, watch enthusiasm is one pastime that remains hamstrung by the tyranny of distance.

More often than not, special timepieces never make it to Australian shores. Which is what Sydney’s Between The Lugs Watch Fair intends to remedy.

Set to debut this weekend, this is essentially a platform for enthusiasts to meet their fellow horophiles, learn from industry experts, and even enjoy a masterclass in watchmaking photography from one of Australia’s finest talents: HM Uhren.

Several rather interesting independent brands have signed on to participate, such as Jacob & Co. (a favourite of Conor McGregor), Frederique Constant, Ball Watches, Oris, and many more. Attendees can also expect a gift bag on arrival, special offers on some watches displayed, as well as the chance to win a Squale watch worth $2,990.

“This is truly a one-of-a-kind event for watch lovers in Australia,” said Nicholas Hooper, founder of the fair.

“We’ve curated an exceptional lineup of exhibitors, from high-end luxury maisons such as Jacob & Co to emerging independent brands, that will allow visitors to immerse themselves in the captivating world of watchmaking.”

You can find The Lugs Watch Fair at Carriageworks (245 Wilson Street Eveleigh, NSW 2015) with the full program running from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM this Saturday (August 17th). Tickets are currently available for $32.80 a pop.
