This week, Bremont has revealed its latest generation of adventure-ready watches with the launch of the Supermarine 300m GMT collection. The line-up features three new models, each executed in a different colour scheme, and is designed to specifically handle extreme environments with their robust construction, impressive water resistance, and GMT functionality.

It was only last year that Bremont bolstered its ranks of GMT watches with the arrival of the Supermarine S302 range, however, this new Supermarine 300m GMT collection takes things further still. Featuring a case that has been further refined for comfort and a new bracelet boasting a micro-adjust mechanism, the watches are sleek enough for the office, while retaining Bremont’s bulletproof DNA.

Not only has the case been refined as far as its profile on the wrist, but Bremont has also elected to use 904L steel for their construction — a superior alloy to traditional watchmaking steel. All cases feature modest guards to protect the screw-down crown, a solid caseback to guarantee 300m of water resistance, and a blend of finishings with brushed surfaces and polished bevels for sharp lines.

The dials are where each of the watches within the Bremont Supermarine 300m GMT collection find their identity, with tundra green, glacier blue, and amber red each offering a nod to a different inhospitable environment. All dials enjoy a linear gradient colour profile and are each framed by a two-tone GMT bezel with a 24-hour scale, executed in black and their respective colours.

Beneath the dial of each watch is a modified BE-93-2AV calibre. This movement arrives equipped with a glucydur balance wheel, anachron balance spring, and Nivaflex mainspring that assist with resistance to magnetic fields and stable accuracy, all while delivering 50 hours of power reserve. What’s most important about these movements, however, is their ability to adjust the GMT hand independently from the hour hand, allowing users to simply and easily set it to track two different timezones simultaneously.

The other standout feature of the Bremont Supermarine 300m GMT collection is the bracelets they can be paired with. While there’s also the option of a classic rubber strap, the bracelet would be our pick thanks to its matching 904L construction, a micro-adjust system for the perfect fit in any weather conditions, and the nice combination of brushed and polished finishing.

All considered, the collection is a very solid release from Bremont and is one that spans the gulf between everyday life and proper adventure. According to the brand’s CEO, Davide Cerrato, this latest collection release confirms the “Supermarine product line is complete,” and it’s not hard to see why.

The Bremont Supermarine 300m GMT collection makes its debut with the tundra green and glacier blue references to form part of the permanent catalogue, while the amber red reference will be a boutique exclusive limited edition of 200 pieces. The Bremont Supermarine 300m GMT will have an Australian RRP of $6,700 on the bracelet and $6,250 on the leather strap.

If you’re keen to check it out in the metal, our friends at Bremont are offering a free watch strap to anyone who mentions Boss Hunting when they book an appointment at Bremont’s Melbourne boutique on Collins Street. Bremont watches are also available from Hardy Brothers boutiques in Brisbane, Sydney and Perth, as well as James Thredgold Jeweller in Adelaide.
