As one of the most aggressive rebounders in NBA history, you’d expect a custom Rolex designed by Dennis Rodman to have a little bit of heat to it. Thanks to the team at Skeleton Concept, this red-hot timepiece is now a reality, arriving with a completely bespoke case, dial, and more.
Following on from similar collaborations with athletes such as NFL player Antonio Brown and cricketing legend Virat Kohli, Skeleton Concept has connected with Dennis Rodman to create an entirely custom-built Rolex GMT-Master II.
While the purists aren’t likely to enjoy it, the timepiece features an eye-catching 40mm black and red carbon case, a black PVD-coated bezel and a sapphire crystal display caseback through which you can view the movement.
“My fascination with the art of watchmaking has been a lifelong passion,” Rodman said about the collaboration.
“Collaborating with Skeleton Concept for my first customization, I decided to go with a black and red case to remind me of my NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls. With their meticulous attention to detail, they took the utmost care to incorporate my iconic number, 91, onto the bezel and sapphire glass, showcasing their exceptional craftsmanship.
“I’m thrilled to unveil the extraordinary result of my collaboration with Skeleton Concept. Introducing the Dennis Rodman Concept Watch, a stunning masterpiece reflecting my fearless spirit and unparalleled charisma.”
Nicknamed the “Bad Boy,” there’s no word on pricing for this custom Dennis Rodman-designed Rolex, but there’s no doubt it’ll cost a pretty penny to get one on your wrist.
