If there’s one thing that Floyd Mayweather Jr. loves more than knocking out his opponents in the boxing ring, it’s making money. And just as he’s dripping with talent in the ring, Mayweather is also great at getting paid — a skill that has seen him amass a net worth of around $660 million, building the much-discussed Floyd Mayweather watch collection in the process.

Mayweather is a man that enjoys all of the trappings that wealth can offer, from his impressive collection of supercars and private jets, to the NASCAR team he owns. There aren’t many luxuries you can think of that he doesn’t already enjoy on a daily basis, which is exactly what you’d expect from a guy whose inflation-adjusted career earnings have eclipsed $1.7 billion.

However, of all of the “rich guy” ways that Mayweather spent his money, it’s safe to say he enjoys his watch collection the most, regularly celebrating his collection of the world’s most expensive watches on Instagram. Including the likes of Patek Philippe, Rolex, Richard Mille, and Jacob & Co, Mayweather’s collection must be one of the most valuable collections of modern watches ever amassed.

Without further ado, let’s check out a few highlights from the watch collection of one of history’s wealthiest athletes: Floyd Mayweather.

The Best Of The Floyd Mayweather Watch Collection

1. Jacob & Co. The Billionaire Watch

Floyd Mayweather watch collection

Without a doubt, Floyd Mayweather’s billionaire watch from Jacob & Co is the timepiece he is most well-known for, costing an eye-watering US$18 million dollars and is one of the most expensive watches in the world. You only need to Google “billionaire watch” to see the level of attention he has gained from wearing a timepiece you could have bought ten more watches from Richard Mille with the same money, which is likely exactly what the legendary boxer intended.

The almost unimaginably lavish Billionaire Watch boasts no less than 260 carats of emerald-cut diamonds, set into the large rectangular white gold case and bracelet. Powering the timepiece is a manual-wind skeletonized tourbillon movement, with a power reserve of 72 hours that should impress any watch aficionado.

2. Hublot King Power WBC Full Pave with Emeralds

There are three levels of “piece unique” watches. There are one of a kind watches you have the opportunity to buy, there are watches you get to help design and then there are watches that are specially created for you. This Hublot King Power WBC Full Pave with Emeralds is the last of those three, created in 2015 at the behest of Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe to celebrate Mayweather’s bout with Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Featuring what appears to be a King Gold case that is set almost entirely with pave diamonds, the real eye-catcher is the suite of baguette-cut emeralds that form the bezel. Not only have they been matched with the green leather strap of the watch very nicely, but they nod back to the first World Boxing Council (WBC) limited edition watches that Hublot made back in 2012.

These were created under the guidance of the legendary watch executive Jean-Claude Biver, with 12 examples of the original wathes selling for US$1 million. Considering Mayweather’s is both unique and covered in diamonds and emeralds, we can only guess it’s price would be at least $300,000.

3. Patek Philippe Nautilus ref. 5723/112R-001

Floyd Mayweather certainly loves his Jacob & Co. and Richard Mille watches, but he’s also got a soft spot for the very best Patek Philippe timepieces too. In his collection is a Patek Philippe Nautilus ref. 5723/112R-001, which is not only the rose gold version of the famed Gerald Genta design, but also boasts a bezel and dial set with baguette-cut rubies. It’s not widely known the RRP of one of these watches, but a similar (albeit better) version sold at auction this year for $2,137,438.

4. Richard Mille RM 59-01 Tourbillon Yohan Blake

A timepiece that Floyd Mayweather has been spotted wearing frequently is the Richard Mille RM 59-01 Tourbillon Yohan Blake, which was designed in collaboration with the Jamaican sprinter back in 2013. It’s not covered in gemstones, but it still comes with a heft price tag as a limited edition of 50 pieces.

5. Hublot Big Bang Unico TMT

Hublot is a brand that Mayweather has a very close relationship with — not only as one of his favourite watch brands — but also as one of the key sponsors in his 2017 bout against Conor McGregor. Perhaps to cement the relationship in a physical form, Hublot and Mayweather worked together on a pair of limited edition watches, which included this Hublot Big Bang Unico TMT (which stands for Mayweather’s promotional company, The Money Team).

He was spotted wearing the gold diamond set version, with no less than 48 baguette-cut diamonds and 378 brilliant-cut diamonds. It isn’t the most expensive watch in his collection, but it’s indisputably Mayweather in its design.

6. Jacob & Co. Rainbow Tourbillon Unique Piece

Without a doubt, Mayweather is one of Jacob & Co.’s best clients, owning a number of different watches from the New York-based jeweller including this one-of-one Jacob & Co. Rainbow Tourbillon. The white gold case measures a gargantuan 47.5mm and is almost entirely encrusted with diamonds across the dial, case and bracelet.

7. Richard Mille RM11 Felipe Massa Custom Unique Piece

Now, when you’re as wealthy as Floyd Mayweather you don’t really want to be wearing the same watch as anyone else. This means the undefeated boxer has a large collection of customised timepieces that have been altered by a jeweller, including this Richard Mille RM11 Felipe Massa.

Floyd Mayweather went to Jadelle Jewelry Beverly Hills and the jeweller Peter Marco to add the baguette-cut diamonds to the timepiece, which delivers a million-dollar impression on the wrist.
