  • Hublot and Novak Djokovic have announced a collaborative watch like no other with the new Big Bang Unico collection.
  • The epoxy resin and quartz powder composite case includes fragments from 25 of Djokovic’s HEAD racquets and 32 Lacoste polos from his landmark 2023 season.
  • Limited to 100 pieces, the Hublot Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic is currently available domestically for $78,700.

Every year, dozens of collaborative timepieces are launched by a watch brand and their ambassadors. But today, Hublot has upped the ante.

Rather than peddle a design that simply nods to the athlete’s jersey number or the sport they play, the Hublot Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic has been crafted using actual pieces of the tennis superstar’s on-court kit.

Measuring 42mm in diameter and 14.5mm in thickness, the Big Bang Unico’s case has been constructed using an epoxy resin base with quartz powder reinforcement. Not a groundbreaking material by any means, but necessary to infuse fragments of 25 HEAD racquets and 32 Lacoste polos used by Djokovic himself.

The surviving ‘Big Three’ talent used these racquets and polos during his record-breaking 2023 tennis season, in which he won his 24th Grand Slam Singles Championship, extended his weeks as world no.1 to 405, and became the first player to achieve the triple career Grand Slam in men’s singles. In short, these racquets and polos are pretty damn special.

“This new watch is an extension of [my] mindset and represents key moments from my 2023 season, a landmark year in my career,” Novak Djokovic said of the chronograph in a statement.

“It is a symbol of every game, every moment. It has been an incredible experience to collaborate with Hublot to create this special watch.”

Another impressive element of the case is where it tips the scales: weighing less than a standard tennis ball at just 49.5g when paired with an elastic strap. Beyond the remarkable materiality of the watch’s case, it’s powered by a blue PVD-finished self-winding Unico Manufacture chronograph movement, which serves up 72 hours of power reserve.

For diehard fans of the legendary Serbian tennis player, it really doesn’t get much better than this. Limited to 100 pieces, the Hublot Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic is currently available from boutiques and online with an Australian RRP of $78,700.
