Longines Launch Handsome New Master Moonphase Models In Taipei

To coincide with the opening of Longines newest boutique in Taipei 101, formerly the world’s tallest building, Longines Ambassador of Elegance Jung Woo-Sung joined Longines President Walter von Känel for the global launch of the new Master Moonphase models.

The additions to the brand’s best selling Master collection are characterized by a moon phase indicator, powered by a self-winding ETA based calibre developed exclusively for Longines. Three handsome iterations are on offer, a silver “barleycorn” dial with painted Breguet numerals, a black “barleycorn” dial with painted Roman numerals or a sunburst blue dial with applied indices, in either a 42mm or 40mm case size, on leather or a bracelet. Staying true to the brand’s core values, the new Master Moonphase models pay homage to traditional design and showcase Longines’s ever-present commitment to elegance.

On the evening, guests were treated to an array of locally inspired cocktails and food, as well as the chance to get hands-on with the new watches while enjoying panoramic views of Taipei from atop the Marriot Hotel. 

“This year, with the new models of The Longines Master Collection, we clearly reaffirm our commitment to traditional watchmaking. With a moon phase indicator at 6 o’clock and a new calibre developed exclusively for Longines, the 2019 pieces really stay true to the DNA of the line”, said Walter von Känel, President of Longines on the occasion of The Longines Master Collection presentation.

Jung Woo-Sung, who looked exceptional in white on the night, praised the new models and spoke of their effortless ability to complement his own timeless aesthetic.
