There’s an undeniable sense of sophistication infused into designs from the Art Deco era – lines and angles that speak to a meticulously measured approach to proportion and scale. Among the quintessential forms born in the 1920s and 30s is Jaeger-LeCoultre‘s Reverso: a collection that returns to the spotlight as the watchmaker announces new watches for 2025.
It wasn’t too long ago when we saw the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso line-up last revitalised – at Watches & Wonders 2023, to be precise – with the debut of a fresh Tribute Small Seconds range and the revival of the Tribute Chronograph.
This year – in line with the brand’s 2024 focus on high-complication watchmaking – the Reverso range showcases the depth of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s expertise with the launch of a chiming watch, an all-new world time complication, and an absolutely breathtaking pink gold bracelet.
Highlights From The 2025 Jaeger-LeCoultre Collection
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater
Chiming complications occupy some of the most rarified air in fine watchmaking, and the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater represents a legacy that dates back to 1870, when the brand created its first minute repeater. While it’s not the first Reverso minute repeater we’ve ever seen from Jaeger-LeCoultre, this latest edition features a newly developed movement and impressively decorated dials to match.
Before we wax technical, the front dial is executed with a hand-guilloché barleycorn pattern enhanced by several layers of teal blue grand feu enamel, while the open-worked reverse dial exposes the complexity and visual depth of the movement within. The engine in question is the newly developed Calibre 953, which offers 48 hours of power reserve when fully wound and makes use of seven existing patents that improve the quality of the sound.
Cased in an attractive shade of pink gold, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater measures 51.1mm in length and 31mm in width, while remaining impressively slim at just 12.6mm from front to back. Unsurprisingly, it will be a limited edition of just 30 pieces.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Geographic
Breaking new ground for the Reverso collection in 2025 are two Tribute Geographic references, which bring the rarefied world timer complication into the range for the first time. Available in either stainless steel or pink gold cases (limited to 150 pieces), these arrive with a Grand Date display at 12 o’clock that’s made possible thanks to the new in-house Calibre 834.
The pink gold reference features a sunray-finished chocolate brown dial and a world time display with black and grey highlights on the rear of the case, while the version in stainless steel has a sunray blue dial and a world time display with blue highlights. Unlike most world time watches – with a central disc framed by a rotating ring of cities – the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 834 reverses the operation of these elements and features a laser-engraved and enamelled disc that rotates within a static ring.
This alternative approach to the world time complication aims to improve the legibility of the display, while the Calibre 834 features 42 hours of power reserve. Both the pink gold and stainless steel cases measure 49.4mm in length and 29.9mm in width, with a contextually wafer-thin 11.4mm profile on the wrist.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds
If you loved the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds from 2023, this newly announced reference is likely to put a smile on your face. A model that’s already well-loved thanks to its restrained elegance and exceptionally thin case, the Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds now arrives with a pink gold Milanese bracelet and grained dial finished in the same warm tone.
It’s far from the most complicated or expensive Reverso in the current catalogue, yet this new reference is almost certainly going to make a splash with purists, thanks to its faithful nod to the very earliest Reversos and undeniably luxe presence on the wrist. The case measures a very wearable 45.6mm in length and 27.4 mm in width (just 7.56mm thick), while the in-house manually wound Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 822 is a tried and true movement from the brand, giving you just shy of two days power reserve.
