OMEGA and James Bond share a relationship only rivalled by the franchise’s affair with Aston Martin, and one that grows stronger and stronger each time 007 takes to the screen.
To the joy of both brands and fans alike, that next outing is only just around the corner. The 25th instalment of the longest-running franchise in film history, No Time To Die, dropped its first trailer last night ahead of its April 2020 release. And naturally, Bond’s gorgeous new wrist game made its debut on the man himself, Daniel Craig.
This iteration of OMEGA’s famed Seamaster Diver 300M is a Grade 2 titanium 42mm variant featuring a brown tropical aluminium bezel ring and dial on a titanium mesh bracelet. Slightly slimmer than the standard Diver 300M models thanks to the doming of the sapphire-crystal glass, the watch houses OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8806 movement.
Inscribed on the case back is a series of numbers which follow the exact format of genuine military-issue watches. The most notable of these aside from ‘007’ is the number 62, which refers to the year of the very first James Bond flick, Dr No.
Unlike previous 007 edition watches, this striking titanium Seamaster won’t be restricted to a limited run of examples, meaning there’s more chance you can cop the piece ahead of the film’s release on April 8, 2020.
The OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M ‘No Time To Die’ 007 Edition (REF 210.90.42.20.01.001) retails for AU$13,075.
