Iconic watchmaker Patek Philippe is celebrating the fifth Watch Art Grand Exhibition in Singapore this week with the release of the ultra-limited Ref.5167A Red Aquanaut.
First released in 1997, the Aquanaut has become a staple of the Patek range with a number of hard to find special editions released over the years. This latest take on their famous steel sports watch features a 40mm case and is identifiable by the bright red tropical rubber strap, a nod to the official colour of Singapore.
Powered by a calibre 324 S C self-winding movement with a power reserve of 45 hours, the versatile watch sports hosts basic time and date functions with a sapphire crystal case back to enjoy the handsome gold rotor. The timepiece also comes with a red minute track and handset complementing the vibrant strap. The Red Aquanaut follows on from the khaki green version released early this year and is limited to just 500 pieces, with the watch only available to Singapore residents.
While there’s no word on how much Red Aquanaut will go for, the Black steel 5167A sits at roughly $25-30k RRP (not that you’ll find one for that price). This one will no doubt be offered to Singapore’s top Patek customers and sell out instantly, at whatever price it is.
