Here at Boss Hunting, it’s no secret that we’re fans of the Raymond Weil Freelancer Chronograph collection — not only as a classically-inspired contemporary chronograph, but as one of the finer value-driven options on the market. This week, the brand has announced a new limited edition addition to the collection with the Raymond Weil Freelancer Pop Bi-Compax Chronograph, bringing fresh materials and dial colours.

This latest limited edition was created in partnership with Raymond Weil ambassadors Sandy Sax and Victor Le Douarec, a professional Saxophonist and pianist respectively, with its design aiming to infuse the energy of live music into an everyday timepiece. From the luminous subdials and internal bezel to the case material and hand-written date-window font, there are plenty of details to get excited about here.

The Raymond Weil Freelancer Pop Bi-Compax Chronograph measures 43.5mm in diameter and is a relatively slender 13.7mm in thickness, both dimensions of which are minimised thanks to the case and bracelet being crafted from lightweight titanium. The brushed ceramic bezel frames the dial nicely, while the RW5030 automatic chronograph movement is visible through the exhibition caseback and delivers a solid 56 hours of power reserve.

As a collaborative limited edition, there will only be 400 pieces released worldwide (with just 15 examples making the journey down under). So if you’re keen to add one to the collection, make sure you move quickly on this one.
