Your timepiece may be clean… but is it Roger Dubuis Excalibur Twofold glow-in-the-dark clean? The Swiss watchmakers have just pulled back the curtains to reveal this bold all-white offering with a space age twist.

Limited to just eight in the world, this Excalibur Twofold blends the signature Roger Dubuis aesthetic with an ultra-contemporary finish. In terms of the former, note the skeletonised double flying tourbillion; the ridged bezel; even the way the crown is embedded – all that we’ve come to know and love about the Roger Dubuis brand.

As for the latter, the contemporary elements are so contemporary, in fact, that it borders on the sci-fi. The result of years in research and experimentation with different material combinations, the bezel and care are comprised of Mineral Composite Fibre. The very thing that gives the Excalibur Twofold its ultra-white look in the light.

Roger Dubuis has also reportedly “… applied a patented process to the angles of the calibre…”, specifically to that of the upper plate. This is where the magic happens, thereby allowing it to have that neon luminescence in the dark. The strap itself is comprised of fluorocarbon rubber – dubbed “LumiSuperBiwiNova” – to ensure if matches.

Under the proverbial hood, the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Twofold is equipped with RD01SQ movement backed by Poinçon de Genève. And yes, even the quality seal glows in the dark.

The current retail price is US$276,000. Find out more over at rogerdubuis.com.
