The TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 01 is here… and it’s a beauty.
Christened “Heuer” to honour founder Edouard Heuer and “01” as it represents a markedly horological development for the brand, sporting their in-house Calibre Heuer 01 movement and a clean new design that remains classically TAG Heuer.
The dial side reveals the chronograph controls and the open worked date disc while the case back also draws eyes with its red column wheel, skeleton chronograph bridge and black rotor.
The new generation TAG Heuer case is made from steel for greater shock resistance and is constructed differently. Instead of the traditional single piece typically found on a TAG Heuer, the case is composed of 12 different modular components. This design opens the door for customizability with an infinite combination of materials, colours, treatments and finishes to explore.
The piece is further complemented by its perforated black rubber strap which gives it TAGs characteristic stylish, sporty look with the renewed touch thanks to the interplay of depth and transparency on both sides.
