In celebration of the watchmaker’s longstanding commitment to the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix, TAG Heuer has just released a very special iteration of their classic Monaco chronograph – the TAG Heuer x Grand Prix de Monaco Historique.
As per the official site description:
TAG Heuer is resolutely driving forward its legacy with Monaco motor-racing by taking on an exciting new challenge in the principality: The Grand Prix de Monaco Historique. Already the official watch of the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix and the Monaco Top Cars Collection, TAG Heuer is now the official sponsor and timekeeper of the seven-race Historique event.
It’s a good-looking consolation prize, if nothing else. Fiercely elegant are among the phrases being thrown around. The red and silver dial might even be pretty enough to help you forget that 2020’s F1 season has essentially been cancelled (which I’ve gone ahead and just reminded you of).
The TAG Heuer x Grand Prix de Monaco Historique chronograph is powered by “100% in-house designed and engineered Calibre Heuer 02 automatic movement” – and will be limited to just 1,000 pieces. This limited edition offering will be available in the coming weeks at a price point of US$6,900.
