After a clever strategic move with its release of the GMT Black Bay, a stylish, more affordable alternative to Rolex, Tudor is back again with a stunning updated version to add to its Glamour Double Date collection. The Swiss watchmaker’s most recent offering was unveiled by David Beckham at an event in Hong Kong earlier this week.
The watches use Tudor’s new MT5641 calibre, which controls a small seconds hand at six o’clock as well as a double date function at 12 o’clock. The date change is instantaneous with adjustment sorted directly via the crown and an open caseback design to show off the internals.
There are four separate and beautiful choices: silver with yellow gold-plated hour markers, black with rhodium-plated yellow gold-plated hour markers, champagne colour with yellow gold-plated hour markers, and opaline with blued indices, with or without diamonds. The bezel also has options of steel or steel and yellow gold double bezel with a polished finish.
Though the style has been updated, the price reportedly has remained the same. You can pick up the new Tudor Glamour Double Date starting at £2,300 (approx. AU$4,035) for the stainless steel model on a leather strap. Here are a few combinations but you can see all variations and check out retail locations near you at Tudor’s website.
