This Limited Edition Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Is The Perfect Travelling Watch

— 1 November 2021

Upon its arrival in 1970, the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf World Time was an instant classic. Paying tribute to their own Sea Wolf release of 1953, it was here that Zodiac updated their signature model as a GMT and cemented the model as a staple in their catalogue for years to come. Now – over 50 years on – the Super Sea Wolf World Time is back from the dead as a limited edition tribute release, featuring its original design 1970 design.

As you would likely expect, the limited edition release has seen the original model be upscaled in a few ways. Perhaps the most notable of which was the decision to pair the traditional universal GMT tracker with a world time outer ring and rotating bezel with the names of 24 global cities. This feature allows you to track two timezones at once; perfect for those occasionally miserable hours spent in the departure lounge.

Another noticeable departure from the original is the new, upgraded Swiss-made Soprod C125 automatic mechanical movement, which will apparently get you 42 hours of power reserve. Apart from that, the timepiece’s robust stainless steel case complete with its 200-metre water resistance is identical to its 1970 counterpart.

Having designed and produced the first automatic sports watch in 1930, this is customary at this point for the Swiss brand. The brand is very proud of its rich history, as evident in the engraved caseback featuring a Zodiac branded design. It even comes equipped with a Zodiac World Time display box and a microfiber cloth designed with the GMT time zones.

Available in either red or black, both styles are priced at US$1,795 (AU$2,387). You can get your own by clicking the link below.
