Labelled the most exclusive hotel suite in Costa Rica, Hotel Costa Verde offers travellers the chance to spend the night in a refurbished Boeing 727. Resting on top of a 50-foot brick pedestal in the heart of the jungle, this luxurious two-bedroom creation provides spectacular panoramic ocean and jungle views.
The 54-year-old Boeing 727 has been completely restored by the hotel and boasts hardwood floors, Costa Rican teak panelling. and hand-carved furnishings from Java, Indonesia. Each room comes equipped with air conditioning, its own private bath, spacious kitchen and dining areas, as well as an outdoor terrace with 360-degree views of the surrounding jungle.Â
Located in a coastal rainforest between the Manuel Antonio National Park and the Pacific Ocean, Hotel Costa Verde also features three cliffside pools, four unique restaurants, and tours of the nearby Manuel Antonio National Park.
Although it’s not exactly cheap (prices hovering around $733 per night), when split between a few amigos, these unique digs aren’t too unachievable at all.
