If a private jet across the ditch – or across the globe – is only just out of your reach, then Etihad’s ‘The Residence’ has to be the next best option.
So just how much are we talking here? A round-trip flight from Sydney to Abu Dhabi will cost a touch over $40,000 for one person. Right, so, roughly the same price as a new Toyota RAV4…
Okay, well, what might you get in ‘The Residence’ that justifies such a figure? An apartment in the sky, essentially. A two-person ‘living room’ area has a sofa-length seat with huge storage containers, a TV, refrigerator, and an insane amount of legroom. Walk down the ‘hallway’ and you can get to the bathroom, complete with a private shower, and then a bedroom. A completely private bedroom… we know what you’re thinking – stop it.
Everyone’s favourite YouTuber, Casey Neistat, was lucky enough to experience the flight from Abu Dhabi to New York, and it’s about as outrageous as you think it is.
